Happy Labor Day

Have a great 3 day weekend and remember moderation! I was going to take the day off in terms of working out, but I woke up, and felt gulty about a restaurant meal that I had last night. I hate it when that happens...I woke up a little foggy and tired, but dragged my butt out of bed (all 300 pounds of me!) and splashed cold water on my face, drank a few glasses of water, loaded up some cool music on my iPod and out the door I went. I just returned from a 40 minute cardio workout. I am finally able to jog a little on the treadmill. Although only a few minutes at a time. Weeks ago, I could barely jog for 15 seconds. Now, I'm up to about 3 mintes then I have to rest. I DO feel progress.

Also, I was motivated because last night when we were seated at a booth, my stomach/belly got in the way and I had to request a table. Now THAT stinks! What obstacles are you faced with?

Feel free to post on our forum!

Have a great day and remember, take care of your body...nobody else has control but YOU! Get up and walk to the mailbox if that's all you can do. But DO SOMETHING!

Hi Dave...I posted on your Milestone #1 entry but it didn't go through. I joined and started a blog. Maybe you haven't ok'd it yet. Anyway..I'll keep trying.

Ahhhhh the food hangover. It is as awful as any hangover can be. Alcohol comes to mind. I recognised it the second you spoke of it on your podcast. I have a PM shift in the ER today and of course we are having a potluck...."death defying eating" is what I call it. How can so many nurses who are educated in nutrition do so much damage upon each other. I've decided to order a Chinese Chicken salad and eat outside as the sun sets. I'll go back in to the lounge to socialize about 10 minutes before I have to be back on the floor, stay away from the grazing and see how I do. I know I'll feel better in the morning if I follow my plan. Have a great day and good for you getting up and out. By this time next week you will be well under 300.
