I have been having an OK week. My sweet tooth is giving in a little. I'm going a little heavier than I'd like on the lowfat yogurt and weight watchers candy. I tried a protein shake (vanilla cake was the flavor) with a banana for an extra sweetness and it helped a little.
Yesterday, I was on the bike for about 80 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly. I set the resistance to "Random" which seems to help with mixing it up a little. I then worked on biceps and did some ab work in the house. The gym is just not conducive for me doing effective cardio. I think it's the fact that with my weight, I'm a little embarrased and feel more comfortable at home where I can ask for help getting up. That's a chore as my hips and knees are slightly achey.
Today is a day off because the gym is closed due to the Tropical Storm. It was really a joke, but hey, I don't own the place. The storm just dumped rain and thunder on us. Nothing too bad. Today, I'll do a few pushups. I'm trying to get 1 decent push up by doing "fake push ups" while on my knees. The Triceps and chest really get worked out anyway and it still gives my the benefit of building those muscles until I can finally do real ones.
Thanks for the comments and emails. You people are something else. I'm so humbled by the response and support. YOU is what keeps me going. Knowing that my situation is not unique, and that I can possibly inspire some people is quite rewarding to me. We're consistently in the iTunes top 100 (most of the time in the teens or higher!) fitness and nutrition podcasts.
I hope to be 100% up and running Friday and to bring you another "Great" episode. Also, I think that I may release DAILY "mini zaps" to give you a daily audio boost and update. They'll be shorter than the weekly ZAP, but still effective and informative!

Have a GREAT DAY!
