Wow. I am adding a few foods back into the lineup and the good thing is that I'm maintaining, which is a hurdle in itself. Today was also my "rest day". I wasn't feeling up to working out. My legs ached from jogging yesterday and I don't want to overtrain.
Here are some tips to use when modifying your lifestyle.
1. Resolve never to supersize your portions - unless you want to supersize your clothes. Or KEEP supersizing your clothes if you're already there like me.
2. Start eating a bigger breakfast that will fill you up.
3. See what you eat. Plate your food instead of eating out of the bag or jar.
4. Juices have just as many calories as regular soda. They're crap. Limit your juice intake and up your complex carbs and protein.
5. Keep a food journal. I just started this and it is wonderful! Keeps you in check. You can use a notebook or an online one.
6. Use mustard instead of mayo. Or if you absolutely have to, do 1/2 & 1/2.
7. Eat at home.
8. Sit when you eat.
9. Bring your lunch to work.
10. Don't eat after 7:00pm.
Take a walk after dinner, burn the carbs there and then let your natural fat burning furnace go to work when you're sleeping. It's a known fact that when we sleep, we burn nothing but fat. So get some "z"'s with an EMPTY stomach for maximized fat burning.
