Forum and video...

Please go to the forum and read a post that I wrote under "Mindful Chatter" entitled "Trying to Think".

I'd like to suggest that your journey (whatever brings you here) can be accomplished (timeframe is not important as long as you're progressing) with a simple belief system and thinking about your goal.

Some quotes to ponder during your workout, walk or meditation...

"Strive for excellence, not perfection."

Nothing is perfect, nobody is perfect...you can however be the best you can be and of course strive for excellence...

"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear --
not absence of fear."
--Mark Twain
Be courageous...take that walk out the door, try walking around the block. ...DO IT and you ARE courageous.

"Champions keep playing until they get it right." --Billie Jean King
Please be a champion. YOU can do it NOW!

"Little by little does the trick."
--Aesop (6th century B.C.)

Amazing how this works...imagine how skyscraper builders felt in the early 20th century. No computers...Limited resources. They did it though. How? Little by little.

If you're big, you didn't get there overnight. UNDERSTAND THAT! It is of course easier to gain than lose weight, but your weight probably evolved over a number of years like mine. One day you woke up and felt bad, the doctor warned you...whatever. Losing weight will take persistance, being a champion and a winner. ALL of which are in your reach. No matter if you're 30 pounds overweight or 300+.

PLEASE BE WARNED THAT THE FOLLOWING VIDEO CONTAINS FOOTAGE THAT MAY BE DISTURBING. THIS IS A STORY OF AN OBESE MAN THAT HAS LOST AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT. IF YOU'RE DOWN ON YOURSELF, PLEASE WATCH THIS.

Peace

I am amazed. How can I ever say "I can't" again.
