Meditation Mix

The mind is an incredible thing. After all, without a brain and your mind, you wouldn't be able to do anything to improve yourself.

The mind can expand in many directions with the aid of various tools like music. I have created a meditation mix especially for you to download and to listen to at your convenience. There is no voice, just music. The pieces are from a music library that does not sell the songs individually like other mixes. I lease the library for various purposes.

The purpose of this particular mix is to get you quiet and to experience where you've been and where you want to be. There are 18.5 minutes of music and I've described the selections in the following manner. YOUR description may be different of course. Please realize that the final piece is NOT as quiet as the others. This is the final piece and the purpose was to "jolt" you out of your thought and into an incredibly euphoric mood. Enjoy.

1. Remember: This is where I sob (literally) and feel sad about where I am. The pain, the insults, the inconvenience of seats, my health. I go back to February of this year and my doctor's visit. A shocking visit where I was told that I would die. What is your memory holding onto? Revisit your minds and let out your sadness. This can be very cleansing. Be cautious doing this; as emotions may run very high.

2. Realizing: I am still unhappy, but realize the errors that I've made. I'm looking toward a positive future and of course health. The clarinet is a "New" voice in my mind and a welcomed friend. He is there to comfort me and assure me that I'll be OK. We get to know each other and begin to map out a plan for the future.

3. Energy: At about 5:45 the pulsating synths come in and soon after, I am welcomed by a huge sun. The flutes and other orchestral instruments welcome me with open arms and encourage me to continue realizing what I need to do. I am encouraged. I hope you are too! As the flute and oboe banter about, I am reminded of old friends and fond memories. A beautiful ending with a wonderful chord.

4. Proceed: The calming piano along with a soft beat indicate progress with my team of motivators. I am making progress and can visualize my clothing fitting better and looser. A soothing ride and very positive.

5. Here: I am finally here and am saying goodbye to my team of motivators. I undersatand that they must leave so I can take the torch and continue on my own. There are no babysitters, no helpers, just me. Although we have support, I am the ultimate determiner of my fate and cannot fail. I aprehensively pick up the torch being reassured by my mind that I can do it and that I, me, Dave am responsible and capable.

6. Strongly Standing: A strong piano comes in indicating that I have taken a stance and am very capable and energetic during my journey. Confidence, leadership and loyalty beam from me. I am doing it! The soft female vocals give me inspiration and encouragement. My mind is proud and reminds me to exercise...

7. Reflection: I look into a pond on a winter day and see my face. I have changed - I have lost 40 pounds. I am healthier. I take a photo out of my pocket. It is of my family. We are all smiling except me. I was heavy in that picture as it was from last year. I was trapped in a world where I was the only one that could change. NOW, I have changed... I must get back to the gym and continue my success!

8. "I gotta go workout": Pump it up and go workout!

Dave
